July 26, 1944 — February 19, 2019

Wm. “Buzz” Webb age 74, of Stover, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at his home.

He was born July 26, 1944, in Stover, a son of Dorsey Woodford and Flossie Jane Goans Webb.

Buzz retired as a security guard at the Millstone Marina in Laurie.

He was a member of the Stover First Baptist Church, where he was the “official” greeter, welcoming people coming to church.

He was an outdoors man, who looked forward to spending time on the lake running his trot line or in his boat fishing.  When he wasn’t fishing, he could be found in the woods running his hounds, coon hunting.

He was an avid Stover Bulldog fan, who enjoyed watching all of the sporting events, especially if his grandkids were playing.

Buzz's greatest enjoyment came from being with his family, especially his grandkids.  He also looked forward to family reunions where he could be found playing the washtub in the Webb family band.

Most recently he could be found at his daughter’s restaurant, visiting with family and friends and on Fish Friday, frying a mess of fish.
