Wilma Aleen Goad

December 8, 1933 — February 23, 2011

Wilma Aleen Goad, age 77, of Waynesville, formerly of Stover, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at St. John's Hospital in Lebanon.
She was born December 8, 1933, in Poplar Bluff, a daughter of Fred and Flossie Pearl Taylor.
Wilma was a homemaker, busy raising her five children and caring for many of her grandchildren.
For many years Wilma resided in the Ivy Bend community south of Stover, where she was active in most of the community events.
She enjoyed scrap-booking and making homemade cards. Her children and grandchildren looked forward to her special cards, never knowing what to expect, but always knowing the time and love that were put into making them.
Wilma had a compassionate heart. Whether it was a stray cat, dog, or a person who needed a place to stay, her home and heart were always open. Her actions were as those of an "angel on earth."
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Tom Goad of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Sharon Goad of Stover; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Lonny Galler of Lebanon; Betty and Steven Winnie of Gunn City and Alice and Frank Urbas of Waynesville; a son-in-law and his wife, Richard and Patty Boggs of Belton; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Pat Taylor of Mt. Sterling; nineteen grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren, twin great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Paula Boggs, two brothers, Raymond and Bob Taylor, two sisters, Pauline Craft and Bonnie Coleman and one grandson.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 26, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover with Pastor Art Gormley officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 26, in the Concord Cemetery in Crocker. Her grandsons, Brian Galler, Andy Horning, Chris Suida, Frankie Urbas, Adam Urbas, Andy Urbas, Richie Boggs, Bob Story, Lucas Malott, James Gregory and Vince Stowell will serve as casket bearers.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Concord Grace Church or the Concord Cemetery, both in Crocker.
