Willis Lee "Zip" Clark

Willis Lee "Zip" Clark age 73, of Stover, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013, at his home.
He was born June 3, 1940, in Waverly, Illinois, a son of Frank and Alta Nance Clark, who are deceased. He married Marilyn Nagles and to this union one son, Jeff was born. They divorced and he married Elaine Carol Craigmiles on March 4, 1965, and to this union two sons, Scott and Darian were born. Elaine preceded him in death June 6, 2002. Willis was an over-the-road truck driver for most of his life. He drove as a company driver and as an independent contractor, retiring only when his health no longer allowed him to make the long trips.
During the few times he wasn't on the road, he did enjoy fishing. However, driving his truck was what he loved to do. Survivors include one son, Darian Clark of Stover; two brothers, Russell Clark of Jacksonville, Illinois and Frank Clark of Covington, Georgia; one sister, Pamela Wallis of Whitehall, Illinois, along with seven grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Willis was also preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn, two sons, Scott Clark and Jeff Mitchell, two brothers, Larry and Raymond Clark and one sister, Florence Martin. In keeping with his wishes, he was cremated. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover. Private inurnment will be held in the Pleasant Union Cemetery near Stover. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Willis Clark Memorial Fund.
