William Lee May

William Lee May, 67, of Otterville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 near Otterville. He was one of 2 children born in Sedalia to Marvin Lee and Erbelyn Phyllis May.

Bill was a lifelong resident of Otterville and a graduating member of the Otterville High School Class of 1967. On March 25th, 1972, Bill married his sweetheart, Sandra Dorsey. He and Sandra celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary this past spring.

He was a farmer who took tremendous joy in taking care of his farm, livestock and especially enjoyed feeding his cattle. Gardening was a very important hobby as was camping and fishing. He also loved enjoying his time with his family by playing board games, cards, pool, and tennis. He loved children and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bill appreciated good home-cooked meals as well. He was a member of the Calvary Family Tabernacle in Otterville and often had in depth conversations about his religious beliefs and his personal relationship with God.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Sandra of the home; sons William Lee May, Jr. and his wife Julie, Clint May, Curtis May and his wife Elizabeth all of Otterville; grandchildren Alexis and Daniel May; sister Connie Ehlers and her husband Johnnie of Otterville.

Memorial services for Bill May will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 30, 2016 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Otterville. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, September 29th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Otterville IOOF Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Lloyd Arvin, Ray May, Bobbie Dale May, Stanley Sawford, Randy Williams, and David Jeffers.
