William James "Bill" Campbell, age 39, of Russellville, died Friday night, October 21, 2011, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born January 2, 1972, in Jefferson City, the son of James William "Jim" and Doris J. Stepp Campbell, who survive in Russellville. On August 15, 1992, at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Russellville, Bill was united in marriage to Dione O. Evans, who survives at their home.
He was a 1990 graduate of Russellville High School, and received his Associates Degree in Computer Programming from Linn Technical College. Bill worked as a systems analyst for Missouri Farm Bureau in Jefferson City until his health failed him.
He was an active and faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Jefferson City. He was a member of the Road Riders for Jesus, Missouri State Coordinator for Church Renewal Journey and a licensed Baptist minister. He was a truly amazing Godly man, husband, father, son, brother and friend. He has run the race with a wonderful witness and God will say, "Welcome, my good and faithful servant."
In addition to his wife and parents, Bill is survived by six children, Kaylyn, James "Max," Cassandra "Cassy," Justin, Levi and Faith Campbell all of the home; his maternal grandmother, Myrtle Stepp of California; his sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Brian Schmitz of Holts Summit, his father and mother-in-law, Ronald and Barbara Evans, his brother-in-law, John Evans, his sister-in-law, Drusilla Wade and two nephews, Taylor and Devin Wade all of Jefferson City; also other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 25, at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Jefferson City with Bro. Brian Credille officiating. Interment will be in the Enloe Cemetery west of Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, October 24, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Jefferson City.
