William W. "Bill" Ball, age 75, of Forsyth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Cox Hospital in Branson.
He was born September 13, 1939, in Sedalia, the only son of the late William Absolom and Mildrid Hoard Ball.
He was united in marriage on October 25, 1965 to Judith "Judy" Haynes at the United Methodist Church in Stover. Judy preceded him in death May 25, 2008.
Bill was a graduate of Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia and University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.
He served his country in the United States Army, receiving his Honorable Discharge in November of 1967.
He was a special education teacher and bus driver for Morgan Co R-II school district in Versailles for many years.
Bill looked forward to traveling as much as he could. He spent his summers in Montana and his winters in either Forsyth or Texas. When he wasn't traveling, Bill enjoyed reading and watching movies.
Bill was blessed with the opportunity to meet his first grandson.
Survivors include his grandson, Theodore W. Ball; one son, Nathan W. Ball and Misty all of Forsyth, four nieces, Colleen "Charlie" Neth, Tonya Johnson, Janice Clark, and Jessica Rau; two nephews, James McFatrich, and David Paul Yarger of; great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends; and a Furry Friend and travel companion Notch Ball.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles between 1:00 and 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Quality Industries, and may be mailed % Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home 210 E Jasper Versailles, MO 65084.
