Willa Mae Wahlers, age 54, of Versailles, died Thursday, November 12, 2009, at the North Village Park Care Center in Moberly.
She was born April 16, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, a daughter of Clyde Woodrow and Juanita Edith Silvey Wilson.
Willa Mae had worked at the Kansas City Bifocal Plant in Versailles until her health failed her.
She attended the United Pentecostal Church in Versailles.
She was a talented vocalist, winning the State Fair Talent Contest in Sedalia, singing with her brother Bill Wilson and cousin Frank Peoples.
Survivors include three sons, David Leon Donnely, Ark City, Kansas; Bobby Joe Donnely, Ark City, Kansas and Michael Travis Donnely, Mesquite, Texas; five brothers, Donald Roy Wilson, Walnut, Kansas; Phillip Ray "Nick" Wilson, Versailles; Larry Wayne Wilson, Versailles; Billy Joe Wilson, Versailles and Johnny William Wilson, Versailles; three sisters, Wilma Ruth Williamson, Kansas City; Carolyn Sue Everett, Stover and Brenda Kay Wilson, Versailles; paternal aunts, Elsie Yeager, Versailles and Betty Frazelle, Independence; maternal aunts, Mary Silvey, Versailles and Lucille Silvey, Versailles, also seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Willa Mae was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Clyde W. Wilson, Jr.
She was cremated. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
