Wanda Lee Weaver, age 72, of Stover, Missouri, died Monday, January 25, 2010, at her home.
She was born November 18, 1937, In Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of Edward and Mary Cross Dayton. On June 3, 1956, at the Gravois Mills United Methodist Church, Wanda was united in marriage to Calvin Dale Weaver, who preceded her in death April 15, 1997.
She was a busy homemaker, raising her five children and being a supportive wife to her husband.
Wanda was a nature lover, who enjoyed feeding and watching wild birds, and many other creatures that would visit her country home. She loved caring for the many cats that knew they would find food and shelter at her doorstep. Wanda loved to play wordgames and was virtually unbeatable at Scrabble. She was also an avid gardener, an accomplished artist and a NASCAR fan.
Wanda is survived by three sons, Dale Weaver and wife, Janice of Magnolia, Texas; Mark Weaver and wife, Allison of Trimble, Missouri and Jeff Weaver and wife, Caprice of Kansas City; two daughters, Kelly Stanley and husband, Roy of Kansas City and Tracey Parke and husband, Eugene of Noblesville, Indiana; three sisters, Mary Ann Coleman, Shirley Brown and husband, Ray and Patty Jo Stewart and companion, Jim Culbertson all of Versailles, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Joshua Stanley, Christina Stanley, Logan Stanley, Ryan Weaver, Rachel Weaver, Eric Lawler, Liam Parke, Madelyn Parke, Meredith Weaver and Matthew Weaver, her first great-grandchild is due in May, also nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In keeping with her wishes, Wanda was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 13, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home at 210 E. Jasper Street in Versailles, Missouri with Pastor Paul Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until service time.
