Tommy G. Edwards, 77, of Tipton, Mo., died Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at home.
He was born June 10, 1944, to Gene Gray and Emma Jane Lachner Edwards. On June 6, 1970, he was married to Jeanne Donius in Marshall.
Mr. Edwards was a graduate of Tipton High School and State Fair Community College. He was the manager of the Ben Franklin store in Tipton, owned Edwards Appliance, served as city marshal and was an independent plumber and electrician.
He served in the U.S. Navy, was a member of the Lions Club, American Legion Post 304 and the Maclay Home Board.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Lindy Holt and her husband Derek, of Rosendale, and Stacey Thomas and her husband Drew, of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Wyatt and Georgia Holt; brothers, Danny Edwards and Archie Edwards and his wife Brenda, both of Tipton; and sisters, Joey Hay and her husband George and Julie Patton and her husband Nick, both of Springfield.
Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton, with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., the Rev. Paul Weisenborn officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Maclay Home or the Tipton Nutrition Center.
