Thomas Wayne Bader, 70, of Pilot Grove passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was one of 6 children born in Pilot Grove to Raymond E. and Margie Lee Bader.
Tommy was a lifelong resident of Pilot Grove. He attended Pilot Grove High School before enlisting in the US Army in 1964. After his honorable discharge in 1967 he returned to Pilot Grove.
He was a farmer and retired as an employee of Cooper County where he worked as an equipment operator. He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on and tinkering with machinery and equipment. One favorite activity was hanging out with friends and family at the camp on the Lamine River.
He was a member of the Pilot Grove City Council.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers James and Chester Bader.
He is survived by son Michael Bias and his wife Sabrina of Hallsville; step-son John Edward Bias of Ashland and step-daughter Nancy Ann Bias of Columbia; brother John Bader and his wife Connie of Boonville; sisters Ruth E. Shaw and her husband Tony of Climax Springs and Sue Zimmerman and her husband Rick of Boonville; sister-in-law Sandy Bader of Boonville; 13 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services for Tommy Bader will be 5:30 PM Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM prior to the service.
Memorials in Tommy's memory are suggested to the family.
