Steven Lee Carver

Steven Lee Carver, age 55, of Stover, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at his sister's home in Barnett.
He was born January 5, 1956, in Sedalia, a son of Lee Olin and Donie Lean Newman Carver.
Steve was an Army veteran, serving his country in Germany.
He was employed with Eddings Landscaping in Versailles and also worked independently as a landscaper and in lawn care, until his health failed him.
Steve was an avid outdoors man, who loved to hunt and fish and fish and fish and fish some more. He also enjoyed collecting unique rocks and looking for mushrooms. However his greatest enjoyment came from being with his family, especially his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Stoner of Sunrise Beach; five children, Lee Olin Carver II of Ft. Sam Houston, Texas; Rebecca Zeyer and husband Breck of Riverside, Kansas; Wendy Mayhew of Versailles; Michael Chinn and wife Kristi of Stover and Angel Smith of Kansas City; one brother, Stewart Bradley Carver of Florence, Arizona; four sisters, Sara Couch and husband Tom of Barnett; Sally Douglas and husband Jim of Florence; Susan Nash and husband J.W. of Stover and Lillian Dowell of Versailles; nine grandchildren, Gage, Paige, Tristian, Claire, Olivia, Heather Rose, Adrian, Allie and Andin, also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Lee Olin Carver, his mother, Donie Lean Anderson, his stepfather, Hugh Anderson, and his wife, Jackie Akins Carver.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 10, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover with Chaplain Jeremy Caudel officiating. Interment, with military funeral honors, will be in the Pleasant Union Cemetery southwest of Stover.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday, October 9, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover,
