Sidney George Dubbert

November 14, 1935 — October 18, 2016

Sidney George Dubbert, 80, of Tipton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

One of six children, Sidney was born to Otto August and Martha Volmert Dubbert in St. Elizabeth, Missouri on November 14, 1935.

Sidney proudly served his country in the US Air Force as an Airplane Mechanic 1st Class. After returning home, he resumed all aspects of farming including row crops and livestock. Emma Rose Knipp and Sidney married and have spent 49 years building their life together; working, playing, raising a family, and caring for each other.

Sidney was an extremely social person and all who knew him were entertained by a visit with him. He loved to fish at the Lake of Ozarks as well as trot line fish on the Osage River. Since he raised his own livestock, he also liked doing his own butchering of hogs, beef and chicken. His woodworking skills are evident in the cabinets he made for Emma's kitchen as well as his daughter Juanita's kitchen. He has made cedar chests for his children and many other friends in the community, leaving his own name branded on the bottom.
Sidney and his daughter-in-law Sherry, combined their efforts and produced dozens of embroidered items with their embroidery machine. He was very adept at the use of his computer, checking cattle prices, surfing and searching for all sorts of information.

Sidney was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and also the Knights of Columbus in Tipton. His family was always a very important part of his life and he loved them dearly.

Preceding Sidney in death are his father, mother, and step-mother Clara Dubbert; brothers August and Daniel Dubbert.

Surviving Sidney are his wife Emma Rose of the home; sons Steven Otto Dubbert and his wife Beckie and Rusty Williams and his wife Sherry, all of Tipton; daughter Juanita Marie Dubbert-Mummert and her husband Steve of Fortuna, Missouri; brother Alex E. Dubbert and his wife Minia of Brunswick, Maine; sisters Mildred Gramlich, Blanche Gunter and her husband Mike all of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren Randy and Ethan Williams, Morgan Steele, Jonathan, Christopher and Andrew Dubbert, Michael, Jordan and Calen Mummert; great-grandchild Rayleigh Williams-Hees, all of the Tipton - Fortuna area.
