Shirley Jean Menning

Shirley Jean Menning, age 74, of Stover, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, March 18, 2014 , in Stover.  She was born May 25, 1939 , in South Dakota, a daughter of Roy E. and Cecil Evans Boulais. Shirley married Clarence John Menning and to this union three sons were born.  She was a homemaker, busy raising her boys. She also worked as a care giver for the elderly and disabled for many years.  Shirley was a Methodist.  She enjoyed going fishing, taking care of people and being with her family.  Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Anite Menning of Stover and Monty and Jalond Menning of Sedalia; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Carol Boulais, three sisters, Carol Wells, Mary and Sandy, along with eleven grandchildren ten great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Jeff Menning, four brothers, two sisters and seven step siblings.  In keeping with her wishes, Shirley will be cremated.  The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. -6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20 , at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover. Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
