Shirley Jean Klenklen, 73, of Clear Creek, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
She was born September 28, 1947, in Boonville, daughter of Andrew and Eleanora (Larm) Klenklen.
Shirley was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
She worked in the day program at Unlimited Opportunities. Shirley loved to dance and enjoyed celebrating holidays. Her favorite meal was fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. Shirley brought joy to others and was loved by many. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are a sister, Martha Ann Vollmer, of Boonville; a brother, Joseph Klenklen (Judy), of Pilot Grove; and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lloyd Klenklen; and a brother-in-law, John Vollmer.
Prayers of the Rosary will be said at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clear Creek, followed by visitation. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Father Phil Kane officiating.
Casket bearers will be Troy Schupp, Dennis Boggs, Jerry Wayne Boggs, Mitchel Boggs, Tom Larm and Robert Larm.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Unlimited Opportunities, St. John’s Cemetery, or to the church for Masses.
Arrangements are in the care of the Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove.
