Shirley Ann Rowe Jones

Shirley Ann Rowe Jones, age 78, of North Kansas City, Missouri, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at North Kansas City Hospital.
She was born in October 23, 1933, in Eugene, Missouri a daughter of Everett and Louise Williams Rowe.
Shirley was united in marriage to Warren Jones on January 11, 1959, at the First Christian Church in Versailles, Missouri. Warren survives at their home.
She was a graduate of Versailles High School.
Shirley was a licensed beautician, first working in salons in the Versailles area and later at Model Hair Fashions and A Snip-in-Time in North Kansas City.
She was a faithful member of the First Christian Church in North Kansas City, where she served as a Deaconate and was very involved in the Hotdog Lunch Program. She had also been a past member of the ABWA in North Kansas City.
Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband of 52 years, she is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Pat Rowe of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; a step sister-in-law, Jeannette Jeffries of Camdenton, Missouri; a special friend, Lois Kuhlman of North Kansas City; five nephews and four nieces, Donna Pursley and husband Dan, David Rowe and wife Marlene, Dale Rowe and wife Gwen, Darla Sayre and husband Bo, Denise Wilder and husband Bobby, Darren Rowe and wife Pam, Deb Valenzuela, Bill Jeffries, Jr. and John Jeffries and wife Thalia, along with other relatives and many friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Everett Rowe, her mother and stepfather, Louise and Ottie Jeffries and a brother, Bill Jeffries, Sr.,
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 16, at the First Christian Church of North Kansas City located at 2018 Gentry, with Pastor Carla Hillyer officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church on Monday.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at the Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Missouri. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Christian Church of North Kansas City Hotdog Lunch Program.
