Sharon Kay Sanders

Sharon K. Sanders, 74, of Syracuse passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, MO.

One of eight children, Sharon was born September 21, 1941 in Enon, Missouri to Harold O.C. and Viola Marie Sousley.

Sharon spent most of her life as a homemaker. She worked a number of years as a licensed real estate agent and also several years at Wal-Mart. Some of her favorite pass times included fishing, sewing, playing computer games, cards, working puzzles of all kinds. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, with whom she loved spending time.

Curtis Sanders and Sharon married April 18, 2006 and have spent their eleven happy years of marriage in Syracuse, Missouri.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jimmy Sousley.

She is survived by her husband Curtis Sanders of the home; step-sons Michael R. Sanders of Syracuse, Ronnie G. Sanders of Vienna and Duane A. Snelling of Wellsville, Kansas; step-daughters Lisa L. Birdsong of Wardsville, Sharon L. Eldridge of Seattle, Washington and Renee Skipper of Ocoee, Florida; brothers Roy E. Sousley of Odessa and Charles E. Sousley of Decatur, Arkansas; sisters, Sandra S. Hollandsworth of Hiawassi, Virginia, Alma L. Kuebler of Washington Court House, Ohio, Linda M. Foster and Barbara J. Davenport of Tipton; 12 step grandchildren; 18 step great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services for Sharon K. Sanders will be held Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton with burial immediately following at the Syracuse Cemetery. Visitation will start at 10:00 AM prior to services at the Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Meisenheimer Funeral Home of Tipton, Missouri.
