Ruth Ann Scrivner

Ruth Ann Scrivner, age 65, of Versailles, passed away Monday evening, December 24, 2007, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
She was born December 9, 1942, in Trenton, Missouri a daughter of Carroll and Ruth Yingling Lamphier. On July 26, 1975, Ruth married Larry Scrivner at the First Baptist Church in Versailles. Larry preceded her in death July 25, 2001.
She was a 1960 graduate of Carrolton High School in Carrolton, Missouri and received her Bachelor's degree in Education from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri in 1964.
She taught grade school in the Morgan County R-II school district in Versailles for nine years. She later owned and operated a tax preparation service out of her home in Versailles.
Ruth was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles.
She is survived by one sister, Carolyn Rawie of Surprise, Arizona, also other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and a twin sister, Patricia Ann Lamphier in 1942.
In keeping with her family's wishes, Ruth was cremated. A private memorial service will be held in Arizona. Inurnment will be in the Big Rock Cemetery in Barnett.
