Ruth Allean Hall

July 27, 1949 — April 7, 2020

Ruth Allean Hall, age 70, of Osage Beach, formerly of Barnett, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born July 27, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri a daughter of Gilbert L. and Betty Rose Goodman Stanley. On June 10, 1967 in Versailles she was united in marriage to John Wayne “Butch” Hall, who preceded her in death on February 13, 2000.

She was a graduate of Morgan County R-1 High School in Stover. She was also a graduate of Nichols Career Center; receiving a degree in nursing.

For many years Ruth worked as a nurse for St. Mary’s Clinic in Eldon as well as several nursing and rehab facilities in the area.

She liked going to the Casino boats, playing BINGO and camping. She was an avid seamstress who enjoyed sewing, quilting, and macrame. However, her greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with her family and spoiling her beloved dachshund, Ennie.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Scott Cochrane of the home; six children and their spouses, Amy and David Farris of Barnett, John and Stacie Hall of High Point, Marc and Carol Hall of Barnett, Luke and Becky Hall, Mathew Hall, and Alice Hall all of Eldon; two brothers, Guy Stanley of Barnett and Gilbert Stanley and wife June of Osage City; one sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Billy Whittle of Eldon; twenty grandchildren, Britanie, Kirsten, Kelsie, Dalton, Ashlie, Joshua, Halie, John, Ryan, Katie, Abby, Donovan, Sassy, Logan, Jade, Jake, Courtney, Natlie, Sydnee Ann, and Zoee Jean; ten great grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur O. Stanley and one sister, Diana Morey.

Private family services will be held with burial in the Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Lake Regional Hospice.
