Vincel Leroy "Roy" Jobe, age 98, of Russellville, died Friday, February 15, 2013, at Summit Villa in Holts Summit.
He was born December 19, 1914, in Barnett, a son of Edward Newton and Minnie Kays Jobe. On January 15, 1938, in Russellville, he married Bonnie Louise West, who preceded him in death December 7, 1995. On December 26, 1997, Roy married Mildred Scott Eberhart who survives in Jefferson City.
He retired as a printer with MoDot in 1978.
Roy enjoyed being on his farm, working in his garden and fishing.
He was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church near Russellville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary V. and Pat Jobe of Henley and Danny D. and Marlene Jobe of Jefferson City; six stepchildren and their spouses, Roger and Pam Steenbergen of Jefferson City; Revae and Larry Volkart of Russellville; Janice and Ivor Steenburgen of Henley; Robyn Steenbergen of Jefferson City; Karen and Nick Payne of Russellville and Malinda Steenbergen of Jefferson City; one sister, Dorothy Hackmann of Fulton; six grandchildren, 20 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ronald L. Jobe; three brothers, Nathan Edward, Paul and Dillard Jobe and one sister, Loraine Martin.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 18, at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Earls officiating. Interment will be in the Enloe Cemetery west of Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
