Ronald L. Stephen

March 5, 1947 — October 5, 2014

Ronald L. Stephen, age 67, of Stover, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
He was born March 5, 1947, in Goodland, Kansas, a son of Paul and Viola Eicher Stephen. On June 10, 2000, at the Gravois Mills United Methodist Church, Ron married his wife Janice, who survives at their home.
Ron served his country in the Vietnam War as a Navy Seabee from June of 1965 to August of 1968.
He owned and operated Division Sales Inc., where he worked on feed mill designs and equipment restoration.
He had been a faithful member of the Gravois Mills United Methodist Church for several years and was currently a member of the Stover United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School and was church treasurer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Travis Stephen, one sister, Nancy Stephen, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
A Celebration of Ron's life will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 9, at the Stover United Methodist Church with Rev. Diane Cutler and Rev. Ellen Hoff officiating. Military honors will immediately follow the service at the church.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 9, at the Stover United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Stover United Methodist Church or the Galloway-Martens American Legion Post 343 in Stover. Contributions may be directed to the family via the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, PO Box 64, Stover, MO 65078.
