Rodney Dale Luvin, age 54, of Stover died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Laurie Care Center.
He was born January 5, 1959 in Versailles. He was married in August of 1981 to Cindy Moats and of this union, a son, Justin Luvin, was born. For the past 12 years he had been living with his soul mate Kris Moore. Rodney worked in the carpentry field. He had a passion for Harleys and taking cross country trips on his motorcycles. He liked to deer hunt and spend time outdoors. Rodney enjoyed playing his guitar and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by Kris Moore of the home, one son, Justin Luvin of Rocky Mount, one daughter, Chassidy DeRoode of Clovis, New Mexico, adopted son Tanner Moore of Fort Riley, Kansas,his parents Raymond and Bonnie Vansell of Versailles, two grandchildren Kaden and Korey Luvin, brothers and sisters, Rick Vansell and wife Lisa of Stover, Gina Engelbrecht and husband Kent of Stover, Aaron Vansell and Crystal Owen of Versailles, Michelle Wood of Stover, Debbie Seilings of Eldon, Brenda Draeger and husband Jim of Eldon, Ronnie Whittle, Randy Whittle, and Belinda Byrd of Barnett and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by Melvin Whittle and Bonnie Lada. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, in the Stover Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Rodney Luvin Memorial Fund.
