Robert Jack Miller

Robert Jack Miller, 84, of Tipton passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg. He was one of 7 children born to Arble W. and Effie Heath Hoffman Miller in Tipton.

Bobby Jack was a graduate of Tipton High School Class of 1950. After graduation he served our county in the US Army during the Korean War. After returning home he and Kathleen Hainen were married August 27, 1955 and they began raising their family and farming. Kathleen preceded him in death November 23, 2011.

He was a member of the Tipton Farmers and Sportsman Club and the American Legion. Favorite hobbies and pastimes were fishing and following NASCAR racing.

Bobby Jack was preceded in death by his parents; wife Kathleen; son Russell Miller; brothers Charles, Frank, Tom and David Miller; and sister Martha Speaker.

He is survived by sons Ted Miller of Tipton and Grant Miller and his wife Ramona of Warrensburg; grandsons Andrew Miller and his wife Lisa of Glorieta, NM, Seth Miller and fiancée Katie Turnbow, Luke Miller (US Navy stationed in Guam), Heath Miller; granddaughter Carinne Miller; sister June Neis of Osage Beach; sisters-in-law Gwen Miller of Overland Park, KS and Mary Rose Miller on Clinton, MO; nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services for Bobby Jack Miller will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton. Burial will follow in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Monday, April 18th at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimers Foundation of America or the American Heart Association.
