Rita Kay Moseley

Rita Kay Moseley, 61, of California, passed away after a long battle with cancer at 3:12 a.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at her home.
She was born September 14, 1949, the oldest daughter of Ray and Helen (Keller) Blankenship of Latham, who preceded her in death. She was married to Bobby Moseley, October 12, 1994, who survives at their home.
She was a 1967, graduate of California High School. After high school, she was employed as a secretary for the State Highway Department and State Farm Insurance. She spent most of the life as a homemaker, being an excellent wife, mother and grandmother. For the last 11 years, she actively helped her husband with their aircraft maintenance business in Fulton.
She, along with her husband, were active members of First Baptist Church, California.
Survivors also include four children and 13 grandchildren, Nikki Kulus and husband Craig and their children, Victoria, Ethan, Lilly and Emma of Lee's Summit; Travis Smith and wife Melissa and their children, Charli, Sam, Josh and Caleb of California; Matthew Maverick and wife Debbie and their children, Miranda, Brock and Skylar of Arkansas and James Moseley and wife Asha and their children Alexander and Carmen of Port of Spain, Trinidad-Tobago, West Indies; three sisters, Christie Dowell of California; Rebecca Hite of Kingsville and Arla Dearing of Clarksburg, along with many nieces, nephews and their children.
A private service was held at the California City Cemetery. A memorial service for family and friends will be at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 17, at First Baptist Church in California. Memorial contributions are suggested to Missouri River Hospice, 1410 Heriford Road, Columbia, MO 65202.
