Rickey L. Barney, Jr.

Rickey L. Barney, Jr., age 36 of Stover, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 26, 2013, while in route to the hospital.
He was born November 8, 1976, in Fayette, a son of Rickey, Sr., and Carolyn Lancaster Barney.
Rick worked out of state with a road paving crew for several years before his health failed him.
He was an accomplished artist, who was especially gifted at drawing cars. He also enjoyed spending time with family on his dad's land south of Stover.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Rick, Sr., and Audrey Barney of Stover; his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Richard Chinn of Clarence; two children, Blake and Brittney Barney of Carney; three brothers, Charles Barney of Odessa; Corey Barney of Macon and Christopher Lady of the state of Texas; one sister, Crystal Basinger of Stover; along with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In keeping with his wishes, his body was donated to science, hoping his gift will help with education and medical research.
