Richard “Bo” Greene, Jr., age 67, of Stover, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia with his sister and aunt by his side.
He was born May 19, 1954, in Buncombe County, North Carolina, the only son of Richard P. Sr. and Daisy Treadway Greene.
Bo, along with his sisters, grew up in Stover and were raised by their mother and dad Cecil L. Cook, who treated them like his own.
Bo attended Stover school before going to work for the Pepsi-Cola Company in Sedalia. He started working in the bottling plant and retired as a machine repairman after more than 30 years of employment.
He was a true outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, cook and camp. He looked forward to going to new places and seeing new things. He was an animal lover, especially his “Boys” his pet cats that he enjoyed spoiling.
Survivors include three sisters, Lisa Lindeman of Stover; Angelia Wheeler of Stover; Christina “Kit” Burke; his fiancée, Sharon Hayes of Sedalia; along with many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bo was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil L. and Daisy Cook, his biological father, Richard P. Greene, Sr. and three sisters, Diana Craig, Julia King and Cecilia Moore.
In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Stover Park between 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2021.
