Retha Glenn Duffer age 71, of Stover, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 26, 2015, at University Hospital in Columbia.
She was born October 7, 1943, in Kansas, a daughter of Lloyd H. and Hazel Colhour Webb. On July 17, 1960 in Ivy Bend, Retha was united in marriage to Dennia F. Duffer who preceded her in death November 14, 2013.
Retha worked at Amex Corporation in Versailles, Sola Optical in Eldon and Versailles and retired from Kypers in Eldon. She was also a homemaker, busy raising her two children.
She enjoyed quilting, going fishing, watching country music shows, and listening to old classic country music. However, her greatest enjoyment came from being with her family, especially her kids.
Survivors include two children, Audrey Shewmaker and Dennis Duffer, both of the home; one brother, Larry Webb of St. Joseph; one sister, Shirley Woodward of Kansas City; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Wayne Webb and two sisters, Margaret and Linda Webb.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover with Rev. Marc Knapp officiating. Interment will be in the Stover Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home on Tuesday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Retha Duffer memorial fund.
