Rebecca "Becky" Silvey

Rebecca K. "Becky" Silvey, age 68, of Stover, died Saturday, September 15, 2012, at her home.
She was born March 22, 1944, a daughter of Roy and Rebecca McMurry Venable, both deceased. On August 15, 1959, at Kinghill Christian Church in St. Joseph, Becky was united in marriage to Gary Lee Silvey, who preceded her in death April 8, 2011.
She was a homemaker.
Gary and Becky purchased land near Stover in 1985, where they enjoyed spending weekends at the lake, fishing and entertaining family and friends. In 2000, they moved from St. Joseph, making Stover their permanent home.
Survivors include four children and their spouses, Christine and Adam Booth of Wathena, Kansas; Gary L., Jr. and Stacey Silvey, Heather and Jay Burton and Matthew and Danielle Silvey all of St. Joseph; one sister, Paddy Kennedy of Savannah; one brother and sister-in-law, Gale and Fonda Venable of Florida; nine grandchildren, Codey, Kyle and Elijah Burton; Tessa and Garrett Booth; Kaylin and Jarred Silvey and Aubrey and Rebecca Silvey; along with other relatives and friends.
In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated. No services are planned at this time.
