Raymond John Stucker, age 83, of Cole Camp, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg.
He was born February 11, 1927, in Glensted, a son of the late Henry and Dora Schupp Stucker. On June 23, 1957, he married Alice Gerlt at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Pyrmont. Alice survives at their home.
Ray served his country in the United States Army from 1952 - 1954, achieving the rank of Sergeant.
He was a farmer and construction worker. He was working for Viebrock Construction Company when he retired in 1985.
Ray was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Pyrmont.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Randy and Nancy Stucker of Sedalia; Dean Stucker of Stover and Marcus and Keelie Stucker of Orrick; a sister, Blanche Grupe of Stover; seven grandchildren, Jordan, Tim, Jay and fianceé Megan, Seth, Sam, Logan and Cameron, one great granddaughter Jaidyn, also nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert and Reno Stucker and two sisters, Ardella Reider and Lorena Viets.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church at Pyrmont located on Pyrmont Road north of Stover. Interment will be in the Stover Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6:00-7:30 P.M. Thursday, June 10, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri Veterans Home or the Alzheimer's Association.
