R. Oscar McClellen

Robert Oscar McClellen, age 65, of Stover, Missouri, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover, following a brief illness.
He was born October 3, 1944, in Canton, Texas a son of Troy and Violet McClellen. On May 19, 1990, in Canton, Oscar married Charlotte Shadwick and she survives at their home.
He was employed as a truck driver for Heard and Gilmer Fertilizer Company in Canton for many years. For the past two years he worked as a mechanic for Baughman Feeds in Mora, Missouri.
Oscar and Charlotte moved from Canton to Stover 5 ½ years ago.
He enjoyed working and providing for his family. He attended the Methodist Church.
Survivors also include, two sons, Mary McClellen and wife Lisa of Canton and Troy McClellen of Stover; six daughters, Julie McClellen of Tyler, Texas; Sabrena Franklin of Stover; Kathy Gill and husband David of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; Jennifer North and husband Jimmy of Ben Wheeler, Texas; Paula Bradshaw and husband Brad of Alba, Texas and Penny Bateman and husband Billy of Canton, Texas; two brothers, Troy Lee McClellen of Orlando, Florida and James McClellen of Canton, Texas; one sister, Virgie Wright of Ben Wheeler, Texas; also seventeen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Scott McClellen and one daughter, Marliss McClellen.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 13, at the Stover United Methodist Church with Pastor Diane Cutler officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. Saturday, at the Stover United Methodist Church.
