Phyllis Marie Rimel

Phyllis Marie Rimel, age 70, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at home with her family by her side.

One of 6 children born to Stanley L. and Irene H. Wolf, Phyllis was born November 15, 1947 in Boonville, Missouri. She was raised and graduated from high school in Tipton, Missouri. She became Mrs. Robert Dean Rimel September 10, 1966 and they have spent these 52 years together working and raising their family. They were blessed with three children. Phyllis was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Tipton.

Phyllis worked at the local Striderite factory for 20 years and then became the manager for Crown Shoe Co. and worked in stores in Sedalia and Jefferson City. As she loved to work, Phyllis and Bob opened Phil and Bob's Restaurant and fed the people of Tipton for five years. When she wasn't occupied at the workplace, she kept very busy crocheting, scrapbooking, doing crafts of any kind as she was very artistic. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding Phyllis in death were her parents; brothers Tommy and Charlie Wolf and brother-in-law David Dawson.

Those surviving Phyllis are her husband Bob of the home; sons Robert "Robbie" D. Rimel, Jr and his wife Kim of California, Missouri, John W. Rimel and his wife Karen of Tipton, Missouri; daughter Kelly R. Baker and her husband Tim of Tipton, Missouri; brother Tony Wolf and his wife Sue of Tipton, Missouri; sisters Mary Lou Dawson of Monroe City, Missouri and Sandy Schaeffer and her husband Ken from Hemel, California.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home with rosary beginning at 12:30 P.M. and visitation following at 1:00 P.M., until service time .
