Norman L Theroff

October 16, 1946 — March 3, 2015

Norman Lee Theroff, age 68, of Russellville passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, March 3, 2015, at his home.
He was born October 16, 1946, at his grandparent's home in Clarksburg, the only son of Walter and Alma Lehman Theroff.
Norman was a 1964 graduate of Russellville High School.
He worked as a surveyor for the Conservation Commission, the South Callaway Nuclear Plant and retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation. Following his retirement, and to keep busy, he worked as a custodian for the Cole County R-I High School in Russellville until his health failed him.
Norman looked forward to fishing and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. When he wasn't watching a baseball game on television, he enjoyed a good old western movie and expanding his knowledge through the CNN and Fox news channels. However, his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family, especially his great nephew, Jamie and great niece, Anna.
He was a lifelong member of the Russellville United Methodist Church. His church family and his faith were very important to him.
Survivors include his sister, Darlene Schubert of Russellville; two children, Mike and Trevor Theroff both of Columbia; two step children, Donna Greenslit and husband Ed of Jefferson City and Danny Cooley of St. Joseph; a niece, Mona Porter and husband Travis, a great nephew, Jamie Porter and a great niece, Anna Porter all of Russellville; six grandchildren, Abby, Zach, Alexis, Shari and spouse Jodi, Grace and Atlanta, a great-granddaughter, Jaedyn, along with several cousins and many friends.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, a twin sister, Norma Jean Theroff, and a brother-in-law, David Schubert.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville with Pastor Art Moore and Pastor Royal Speidel officiating. Interment will be in the Enloe Cemetery in Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Russellville United Methodist Church or the Enloe Cemetery.
