Nelllie M. Forth

Nellie M. Forth, age 95, of rural Versailles, passed away Friday, November 06, 2015 at the Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
She was born May 26, 1920, in Camden County the only daughter of Tom and Della Wall Smith.
On December 6, 1941, she was united in marriage to Merle Forth, who preceded her in death on June 23, 1992.
Nellie was a homemaker, busy taking care of her son and helping her husband on their farm.
She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. For years, Merle and Nellie, with best friends Claude and Maudie Cornett, spent many hours fishing at the lake. They also enjoyed attending the VFW gatherings in Cole Camp. After the death of Merle, Nellie enjoyed going with her son Jackie to auctions and taking scrap to sell.
Nellie is survived by her son, Jackie Forth of Versailles; one brother, Norman Smith of Warrensburg; nephews, Gary Smith of Crestridge; Warren Smith of Knob Noster; and Kenny Forth of Versailles; nieces, Linda Cruzan of Sedalia and Lorraine Forth of Jefferson City; along with great nieces and great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Vernon Smith; brother-in-law, Wayne Forth and sister-in-law, Gladys Deuel.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover with Bro. Fred Stamps officiating. Interment will be in the Stover Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Stover Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care of the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover.
