Mildred B. (Orscheln) Martin, 89, of Tipton, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO.
She was born on September 29, 1935, in Tipton, MO, a daughter of Paul Peter and Clara Ann (Lutz) Orscheln. On October 27, 1954, Mildred was united in marriage to Raymond Joseph Martin. They were married for 64 years before he preceded her in death on March 26, 2019.
Mildred was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She loved volunteering at the St. Andrew's Lunch Program. Mildred had worked for many years at Striderite and Fasco. She also worked with her husband Ray moving furniture and keeping the paperwork and inventory in order. Mildred and Ray traveled to all 50 states together, some while they were trucking and some while vacationing.
Survivors include one son, Paul Ray Martin and his wife Debbie; two daughters, Jean Marie Crane and her husband Mike, all of Tipton, Kay Ellen Clifford and her husband Randy, of Clarksburg; three granddaughters, Dana Woodward, Katie Kuttenkuler, and Deann Lawson; four grandsons, Matthew Clifford, Scott Clifford, Michael Crane and Kyle Martin; 17 great-grandchildren and one brother, Ronald Orscheln and his wife Judy of Olathe, KS.
In addition to both of her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Alma Fry and Lucille Bestgen; one grandson, Luke John Crane.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. followed by visitation until service time at Annunciation Catholic Church in California, MO.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church, with Father Alex Ekka, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Tipton.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Clifford, Scott Clifford, Michael Crane, Kyle Martin, Derek Woodward, Kenny Lawson.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.
