Michael Phillip McCoin, Sr.

Michael Phillip "Mike" McCoin, Sr., age 55, of the Golden Beach community, passed away unexpectedly at his home, Sunday, June 22, 2014. He was born July 30, 1958, in Kankakee, Illinois a son of Gerald and Jackie Suprenant McCoin. His mother survives in Golden Beach. Mike worked as a drywall subcontractor for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and racing. He is also survived by five children, Kenneth McCoin of Eldon; Michelle McCoin of Evansville, Indiana; Timothy McCoin of Lake Ozark; Michael Jr., "Mikey" McCoin and girlfriend, Tori Martin of Johnston City, Illinois and Chris McCoin and girlfriend, Racheal Thompson of Golden Beach; four brothers, Joe McCoin and wife Phyllis of Barnett; Todd McCoin and wife Lynn of Golden Beach; Jerry McCoin of St. Ann, Illinois and David McCoin of Bourbonnais, Illinois; four sisters, Cindy Campbell of Burlington, Kentucky; Linda Allison of Bradley, Illinois; Barb Spaulding of Kankakee, Illinois and Debbie Cote of Barnett; eight grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his father, one son, Waylon McCoin and one brother, Ron McCoin. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles. In keeping with his wishes, Mike will be cremated.
