Michael David Asberry, 61, of Pilot Grove, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Michael was born on September 29, 1963, in Sikeston, MO.
Michael liked fishing, working in his vegetable garden, and working on the farm with cattle. He also spent many hours painting for people around town and was a phenomenal painter. He also enjoyed the time he spent with family and friends. Michael worked at Wessing Farms in Pilot Grove with Earl and Aaron Wessing for many years.
Survivors include two sisters, Denise Schwingle (Daniel) of Glencoe, AR, Marcella Ryan of Everett, WA; one nephew, Nickolas Birch; three nieces, Shawni Birch, Crystal Ryan, Kayla Ryan; one Aunt Donna Alexander (Steve); and close friends Kevin and Karen Twenter and Mandy Childress as well as many cousins, Kris, Brad, and Jason Alexander, Tim Grigsby, and Stacy Geismen.
Michael was preceded in death by his father; mother, Gail Darlene Grigsby Ryan Bader; stepfather; Jerome Bader; maternal grandparents, Glen, Sr., and Marcella Crowson; uncle, Glen and Kathy Grigsby; and Aunt Vicki Groves.
A Celebration of life service will be held on February 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Twenter Trucking, 123 Main St. in Pilot Grove with Jesse Beahers officiating. Inurnment will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pilot Grove. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family and checks can be made to Starla Schwingle. Memorials can be left in the care of the funeral home and mailed to PO Box 1529, Sedalia, MO. 65302.
