Mathilda "Tillie" Kiesling, age 84, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 31, 2016, at Heisinger Bluffs in Jefferson City.
She was born December 31, 1931, in Lohman, a daughter of Edward and Viola E. Schubert Linsenbardt. She was baptized & confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman.
Tillie was united in marriage to Ralph F. Kiesling on June 29, 1952, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman. Ralph preceded her in death September 20, 2011.
She attended Russellville High School and graduated in 1949.
Throughout her life, Tillie was a homemaker, as well as being employed by International Shoe Co., Farm Bureau, Charles E. Still Hospital, and Hospital Services Group / MPLIA.
She was a Charter member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Jefferson City.
Tillie was an animal lover, providing a loving home to a variety of cats & dogs throughout the years. Her greatest enjoyment came from the time she could spend with her sons and their families.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald and Charlene Kiesling of Polk City, Iowa and Roger Kiesling of Hutto, Texas; five grandchildren, Jessica and Lindsey Kiesling, Mackenzie and Alec White, and Aubrie Kiesling, and one great grandson, Lane Wegner.
In addition to her husband, Tillie was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Cornelia Strobel.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Jefferson City.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Jefferson City with Pastor Scott Musselman officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Lohman immediately following the service.
