Mary Jane Hoskinson

Mary Jane Hoskinson, 87, of Versailles, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
She was born, Oct. 14, 1923, near Ulysses, Kan., the daughter of Wilford and Gladys (Fuller) Hoskinson.
She was raised on the family farm near Ulysses. After graduating from high school, she worked at Liberal Air Force base from 1943 to 1946.
She retired from Fort Leavenworth, Kan. after more than 30 years of service in the fort's commissary. After retirement, she moved to the Lake of the Ozarks where she enjoyed boating, fishing, bowling and golfing.
She served on the Kansas State Women's Bowling Board for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Rolling Hills Country Club.
She is survived by a nephew, a niece, one great-nephew and two great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gene Hoskinson.
She was cremated and a memorial service will be at a later date in Liberal, Kan. where she will be buried near her parents.
Memorial contributions were suggested to Rolling Hills Country Club in Versailles.
