Mary Beth Dicus passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on October 7, 1946, to Fred and Mina (Gish) Wirths of Tipton. She attended St. Andrew Catholic School, Tipton High School, and went on to earn a B.S. in Business Education from Central Missouri State College. She was married to Donald Dicus of Bunceton for 28 years.
Mary Beth dedicated 25 years to teaching high school business at Versailles. After retiring, she worked for 10 years in the accounting department at Tipton Latham Bank. She was a member of the Tipton United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Norbert Wirths. She is survived by her daughter, Kendra Fischer (Steve) of Clarksburg; her son, Ryan Kelly Dicus (Lora) of Tipton; her brother, John Wirths (Phyllis) of Mexico, MO; and her grandchildren: Steve Fischer (Lindsay) and Jordan Fischer, both of Clarksburg, and Brady Dicus and Blaine Dicus, both of Tipton. She is also survived by two step-grandchildren, Haley Arnel of Kansas City and Blake Arnel of Tipton, as well as six nieces and nephews.
Mary Beth enjoyed annual family vacations and never missed a chance to cheer on her grandchildren in their sports games. She loved reconnecting with high school friends, often spending the day enjoying meals and shopping together.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Tipton United Methodist Church followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Rev. Renae Watt. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Tipton.
Memorial donations may be made to the Tipton United Methodist Church or the Tipton Booster Club.
