Marvin Otto Hoffman, age 70, of Russellville died Sunday, November 29, 2009, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
He was born July 2, 1939, in Russellville, a son of George Otto and Esther Anna Jungmeyer Hoffman.
He first worked at the MFA Exchange in Russellville nailing egg cases and then the Ozark Chair Factory for several years. From July 11, 1970 until February 15, 2008, Marvin was employed with Capital Projects in Jefferson City.
He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville where he served as an usher and helped on cleanup days. He faithfully attended Sunday School, enjoyed putting up the Christmas tree and visiting the sick. As long as he was able, Marvin was at the church anytime the doors were open. He was also a supporter of Habitat for Humanity.
He is survived by cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Roy Henry Hoffman and a sister, Anna Marie Hoffman.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 1, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville with Pastor David Carlson officiating. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 1, at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
