Martha Louise Loesch

Martha Louise Pistel Loesch, age 89, of Lohman, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at St. Marys Health Center in Jefferson City.
She was born June 20, 1922, in Lohman, a daughter of the late Christian and Anna Fischer Pistel. She was baptized
July 9, 1922, and confirmed April 5, 1936, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman. The confirmation verse chosen was Psalms 37:4, "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."
Martha was united in marriage to Daniel Loesch on May 9, 1946, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman. Daniel survives at their home.
She was a homemaker, busy working in the garden, tending her flower beds and raising her four children.
She was a lifelong, faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman, where she was active in the Ladies Aid and enjoyed many days of quilting with her friends.
In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is survived by four children and their spouses, Ron and Shirley Loesch of Mexico; Geraldine and Terry Surface, Jim and Cynthia Loesch and Marlene and Earl Carlson all of Jefferson City; five grandchildren and their spouses, Christy and Kevin Yanskey, David and Stephanie Loesch, Tim and Debbie Surface, Rachel and Matt Pritchard and Bryan and Jessica Anderson, thirteen great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Marinda Pistel and Edith Hammann both of Lohman, also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Martha was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest and Walter Pistel, one sister, Olinda Plochberger and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 13, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman with Pastor Edward Merckel officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Friday, August 12, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church or St. Paul's WELCA Kitchen Fund.
