Martha E. Jungmeyer

Martha E. Jungmeyer, age 99, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Adams Street in Jefferson City.
She was born May 23, 1915, on the family farm in Lohman a daughter of Henry Otto and Pauline Barbara Linsenbardt Linhardt. On November 23, 1941, in Stringtown, she was united in marriage to Victor W. "Doc" Jungmeyer who preceded her in death December 31, 1986.
Martha worked alongside her husband on their farm, raising laying hens and collecting their eggs to sell. She also kept her house and tended to her garden. She later worked at the Cargill Plant in California for ten years.
She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville, where she belonged to the Retreads for several years.
She and Doc took several trips throughout the United States, enjoying the sites and collecting salt and pepper shakers. Later she traveled with her sister and brother.
Martha loved being outdoors, tending her flower garden and mowing her yard; which she did until she was 90 years old. She also kept busy doing embroidery work, making sure each stitch was perfect.
Survivors include two children and their spouses, Duaine and Marlene Jungmeyer of Russellville and Elaine and Butch Richards of Tebbetts, a daughter-in-law, Shirley Jungmeyer of Russellville; three grandchildren, Darla Jungmeyer and companion, Chris Primus, Julie Love and husband David and Paula Klutha and husband Will, five great grandchildren, Roy, Heidi, Ben, Chelsea, and Max, with her sixth great grandchild due this summer; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Martha was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Ronald Jungmeyer, three brothers, Alfred, Herbert and Clarence Linhardt and one sister, Lauretta Stubinger.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville with Pastor Mark Homes officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
