Marjorie A. Cooper

Marjorie A. Cooper, 85, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010, in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born July 11, 1925, in Versailles, Missouri, a daughter of George and Elva Richardson Weicken.
She married Robert Cooper on August 29, 1943, at the Versailles United Methodist Church. They were married 65 years, before his death on September 19, 2008.
Marjorie worked many years at the Stover IGA, alongside her husband. She retired from Wal-Mart in 1992. She was a faithful, active member of the Stover United Methodist Church.
She loved to play cards with all her friends and was well known for her delicious cooking. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by three children, James Cooper and wife, Mary, Ash Grove, Cathy Grant and husband Dick, Springfield and Jeff Cooper and wife Catherine, Cole Camp; one sister, Elaine Ellis and husband Lee, Chillicothe; sister-in-law, Virginia Ross, Versailles; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, daughter, Marsha and brother, Maynard.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 20, at the Stover United Methodist Church in Stover with Rev. Diane Cutler officiating. Interment will be in the West Lawn Addition of the Versailles Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m., until service time on Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Stover United Methodist Church.
