Marinda A Pistel

Marinda A. Pistel, age 95, of Lohman, passed away peacefully Monday, September 21, 2015, at Castlepark in Jefferson City.
She was born September 19, 1920, on the family farm near Lohman, a daughter of Frank and Katherine Pistel Stubinger. She was baptized October 8, 1920 and confirmed April 5, 1936, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman, the confirmation verse chosen was John 8:12, "Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world, he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life". On June 11, 1941, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Marinda was united in marriage to Walter N. Pistel, who preceded her in death February 5, 2007.
Marinda's life was devoted to providing a home for her husband, raising her two children, and loving her grandchildren. Sunday dinner with her family was a staple in the Pistel home for as long as she was able to put a meal on the table.
She was a faithful, lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Elda Pistel and a son-in-law, Marvin Bubach all of Lohman; four grandchildren, Kevin (Tracy) and Theresa Pistel and Doug and Jeff Bubach, six great grandchildren, Chase, Kambry, Davin, McCoy, Kaylin and Abby, three step great grandchildren, Zack, Harley, and Landen, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Marinda was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Sharon Bubach and JoAnn Pistel and eight siblings, Bruno Stubinger, Reinhardt Stubinger, Bertha Stubinger, Josephine Erhardt, Rosetta Korsmeyer, Amanda Stubinger, Edith Horak, and Edna Wohlschlager.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman with Pastor Eugene Moll officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
