Marilyn Sue Malzner

May 24, 1936 — February 9, 2010

Marilyn S. Malzner, age 73, of Russellville, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at St. Marys Health Center in Jefferson City.
She was born May 24, 1936, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Clarence and Dorothy Brown Linhardt, who preceded her in death.
On July 20, 1957, she married Elmer W. Malzner at the Central United Church of Christ in Jefferson City. Elmer survives at their home.
She was a graduate of Jefferson City High School.
Marilyn worked for Southwestern Bell, the Missouri Highway Department and retired in 2000 from the Russellville School District, after 20 years of employment.
She was a homemaker, busy raising her family and helping her husband on their farm. Marilyn never met a stranger and through her computer she was able to keep in touch with friends and family. She also loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and her cat.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children and their spouses, Susan and Roger Lock of Conyers, Georgia; Kent and Debbie Malzner of Russellville and Deana and Steve Ham of Lee's Summit; six grandchildren, Tyler and Adam Lock, Jordan and Hannah Malzner and Mathias and Mason Ham, also other relatives and a host of friends.
Services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 13, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville with Pastor Dave Carlson officiating. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Friday, February 12, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Association.
