Marilyn Ann (Prestage) Hartman 81, of Sunrise Beach, MO, (formerly of Tipton, MO), left her earthly surroundings and entered into heaven on October 08, 2023. Born in Escanaba, MI, on March 10, 1942, she was the first daughter of James (Jim) and Carol Prestage; both who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by Larry Miller, her longtime companion.

Marilyn's formal education was received at Tipton Grade School and Tipton High School where she graduated in 1960 in the top 10 of her class. After graduation she attended Christian College for Women in Columbia, MO, receiving an Associate of Arts Degree in Commerce.

On October 6, 1962, she married Gerald (Jerry) Hartman in Tipton, MO. He survives and though divorced they remained close, respectful friends. From that union, two daughters survive: Tonia Rayne (Toni) Schmidt, husband Kevin of Lee's Summit, MO. and Lisa Michelle (Shelly) Lutz, husband Mike of California MO.

Other survivors include seven grandchildren - Jacqueline Lutz Byrd (Justin), LeighAnn Lutz Harrigan (Luke), Leo Lutz, Jerry Lutz (Caitlin), Elizabeth Lutz, Devon Schmidt and Adam Schmidt; six great-grandchildren: Henry, Landry and Millie Byrd and Huck, Homer and Hampton Harrigan. Other surviving extended family members are Tracy and Mike Silvey, and children, Philip Miller and son, Ryan Miller and daughters, one aunt, many cousins and lots of friends, all who loved and adored her.

Marilyn was a mother, nana, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who always gave her time and energy to help someone in need or work on a project or a worthwhile community endeavor. She was an avid Chiefs fan, loving Patrick Mahomes, but also known to cheer on Tom Brady and Aaron Rogers. She never turned down an opportunity to play bridge, marbles or Rummikub and was a very competitive participant. She liked nothing better than to take a little money from you if she was the game-winner! In recent years, her favorite pastime was playing duplicate bridge.

While living in Lee's Summit MO she was the owner/general manager of The Flower Basket floral shop and eventually opened a second shop in Tipton. She was active in the Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce and a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Lee's Summit. After selling the flower shops she retired full time at "The Lake" where for the past 9 years she was a member of the Elks Lodge of Laurie, MO and also a member of the Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurie, MO.
