Madge Ione Sherfield

Madge Ione Sherfield, age 89, of rural Stover, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
She was born October 20, 1921, in Tribune, Kansas, a daughter of Harry and Ida May Campbell Marsh. On September 5, 1964, in Englewood, Colorado, Madge married Stanley "Dusty" Sherfield. He preceded her in death April 23, 1998.
Madge retired from Wal-Mart, where she had worked at the store in Versailles for several years.
Madge and "Dusty" lived near Florence for several years before purchasing their farm in the rural Stover area in 1997.
She was a member of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Starr and Randy Reed of Thornton, Colorado; a sister, Nadine Scholl of Kremmling, Colorado; a sister-in-law, Mary Marsh of Grand Junction, Colorado; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Madge was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Edwin Doane Marsh.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 P.M. - 5:30P.M Wednesday, April 20, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Versailles.
Graveside services will be 1:30 P.M. Thursday, April 21, at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.
