Mable Jean Gilmore, age 64, of Syracuse, Missouri passed away at her home October 25, 2016. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Floyd Leslie and Mabel Irene Stovall.
Mable was employed in the healthcare field for over 30 years as a certified med tech and a nurses aide. She worked many years at Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia as well as Katy Manor and Tipton Oak Manor.
She enjoyed doing handwork, making quilts for each of her children and grandchildren, and also crocheting. She enjoyed collecting trinkets and small items. Going fishing was a favorite pastime but her greatest enjoyment came from loving her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Mable was preceded in death by her parents; sister Betty Hughes; and brother Richard (Dicky) Shanks.
She is survived by her longtime companion Mark Hall of Syracuse; sons Robert Turner of Versailles and Mark Turner of California, Missouri; daughter Melissa Green and her husband Joseph of California, Missouri; sister Mary Snider and her husband James of Ellington, Missouri; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Mable Gilmore will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Otterville with burial immediately following in the Otterville IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday, October 28th at the funeral home.
