Louis "Larry" Walsh, age 80, of Versailles, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
He was born January 15, 1933, in New York City, a son of Raymond and Hazel Walsh.
Larry worked at the Morgan County R-II school,
Wal-Mart, Good Shepherd Care Center and for more than 20 years at Quality Industries, all located in Versailles.
He was a faithful and active member of the St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Versailles, where he belonged to Council 12682 of the Knights of Columbus.
He was also very active in the Boy Scouts of America and a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Larry loved working at his church and being with his church family. He also enjoyed meeting new people and spending time with his friends.
Survivors include four nephews, Tom Walsh and wife Bobbi of Columbus, Georgia and their children, Christine, Mitchell, Katie, Ben and Mark; Larry Walsh and Jerry Walsh of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Terry Walsh and wife Christie of St. Louis, Missouri and their sons, James and Robert; and Mike Walsh and wife April of Albuquerque, New Mexico and their son Reagan; along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Pat Walsh.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 31, at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Versailles. Interment will be in Old St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery Laurie. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Saturday.
