Louanna D. Stafford, age 67, of Lincoln passed away August 23, 2016 at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was born July 19, 1949 in Barnett to Clayton and Mamie "Maxine" Cook Phillips. On November 23, 1982 in Miami, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to David Stafford, who survives at the home.
Louanna was a graduate of Versailles High School.
She retired after working thirty-six years for the Social Security Administration.
She had a love for animals which led to her enjoying her days on the farm, after retirement, raising and training horses. Her favorite horse was named Jabber Jaw Jim.
In addition to her husband of thirty-three years she is survived by one step son, David Wayne Stafford of Barnett; one step daughter, Peggy "Lynn" Boler of Eldon; three step grandchildren, Brandy Trillo, Arthur Stanley, and Shane Stanley; and seven step great grandchildren.
Louanna was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Loyd Terrance Phillips.
A graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Big Rock Cemetery.
