Linney "Junior" Capps

Linney "Junior" Capps, age 83, of Stover, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
He was born October 3, 1932, in Morgan County, a son of Linney Edward and Leona Davenport Capps. Junior was united in marriage to Emogene "Gean" Braden on January 10, 1953 at the home of Rev. Jim Delong, who preceded him in death on September 21, 2010.
He was a graduate of Morgan County R-1 in Stover. After graduation he joined the United States Army and served his country.
Junior was a logger, owning Capp's Logging.
He was a faithful member of the Stover Lion's Club and served on the Stover School Board.
He enjoyed fishing, working on watches, and chainsaws, but his greatest enjoyment was time spent with family.
Junior is survived by three daughters, Gail and Lana Capps both of Columbia and Terri Black of Versailles; one sister, Elwanda Santiago of Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchildren, Kristin Morris of Rocheport, Jamie Brown of Stover, Jessica Wilson of Clinton, and Drew Capps of Columbia; and five great grandchildren, Matthew and Lexie Morris and Resee, Raeleigh, and Raustin Brown.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Junior is preceded in death by one brother, Louis "Bud" Capps and one sister Loretta Hankins.
Private services will be held, with inurnment in the Stover Cemetery.
